Star

The Star is the sign of those who guide. Before maps and road signs, it was by the star that the caravan knew whether it was heading home or away from it. Those born under this sign carry that function: they are the fixed point people return to when lost.

Star is the most affectionate sign of the Gypsy calendar. They feel the room before a word is spoken, notice someone is unwell before that person does, and build — wherever they are — a version of home. They need no fixed house for that; they need people. Tradition says the Gypsy star has seven points because it welcomes the seven directions, including the ones nobody wants to look at.

Their strength is practical hope: not naive optimism, but the stubbornness to keep shining even when the sky is closed. Their challenge is the distance between caring and erasing themselves — a Star who lights everyone tends to forget that she also needs light. Asking for help is the hardest and most necessary lesson.

In love, they are protective, deep and long-remembering: whoever enters their sky is granted permanent residence (and whoever wounds them is also on record). At work, they excel in care, education, health, cooking, history, psychology and people management. If the road turned out easy to travel, a Star was probably holding the course.
